Philadelphia to Hershey

Checked out of the hotel about 11:30 and stopped for breakfast at the Green Eggs Cafe on Dickinson. Best breakfast we've had thus far and actually with good service which seemed to be non-existent in Washington. Did a drive-by of Geno's and Pat's cheesesteaks which were nearby and then drove the 90 miles to Hershey. Arrived in Hershey around 3:30 and took the chocolate tour ride. Rising in an amusement park car is a unique tour experience - short and to the point. We had ice cream, did a little shopping before going through the design - your - own - candy bar attraction. It was a bit of a wait in line but well done nonetheless. All 6 of us created our own bar with our own wrapper design. Finally, drove the 13 miles to Harrisburg and checked into the Crowne Plaza Harrisburg-Heshey around 7:30. So nice to have a human sized room again. We went out for dinner at a sports bar called Arooga's. We found at least this part of Harrisburg (near the capital) mostly clean and actually fairly active with restaurants,  shops, and pubs. Back to the hotel by 9:30.
