Hersheypark

ByStarted with a bagel at Bagel Lovers just a few blocks from the hotel before heading to Hersheypark. We stopped at the neighborhood "Giant" market to get the discount park tickets. We were in the park by 1ish. Made our way to the Zoo America section first. It's a little odd in that the zoo is its own park but is included with the Hersheypark admission. You could conceivably go to the zoo alone without going to Hersheypark but it's pretty small. We had some lunch and did the log ride (Jessi, not a big fan) and the classic cars before heading to the Boardwalk area. Boardwalk area was really good....actually seems to be one of the newer additions to the park (I saw an "est. 2007" on one attraction). Their wave pool and lazy rivers are pretty small but they have a a separate even smaller (3 ft deep) wave pool  for the small kids. Jessi made a friend (Avery) there. They also have an insane water/play structure thing that is amazing to just sit and watch. There are enough water slides for the big kids and adults. The Tidal Force ride is the wettest ride I've ever experienced. Christy and I got to ride a few wooden coasters while Nana and Papa took the kids on the Ferris Wheel. Thanks, Nana & Papa! If you like the crazy twisting, looping coasters....they've got several of those....we just don't have the stomach for them. We closed the place down after doing the train, the monorail and the Kissing Tower.
