Air & Space, American History Museums & Monuments

Jessi's fever broke overnight and by afternoon she was back to her spunky self. Christy stayed in the room so Jess could rest in the morning and afternoon. Nana, Papa, Will, and I went to the Air & Space Museum. I think Will enjoyed it more than he thought he would. He was buzzing all through the exhibits and seemed to gravitate specifically to the Explainer talks (in red shirts). Papa navigated us through the aircraft carrier exhibit and we even found a paper on his ship (USS Coral Sea). We left the Air & Space Museum about 4pm and took the Metro back to the hotel. Nana and Papa watched the kids while Christy and I headed to the American History Museum which we closed down at 7:30. Again,  we took the metro back. Papa and I got the car and we drove over to an area between the Lincoln and FDR memorials. We took about a two hour self guided walking tour of the FDR, Thomas Jefferson,  MLK, WWII, Vietnam, Lincoln, and Korean War Memorials. We got back to the hotel around 12:30.... later than I had hoped but it was worth it.
