Breakfast at Ess-a-Bagel on 3rd between 50th & 51st St. The line was ginormous and the bagels were good but not any better than Best Bagel or Brooklyn Bagel. Moved on via subway to FAO Schwartz on 5th and 59th St. Passed by the Apple tube-thing entrance to their 5th Ave store on the way. Meandered through Central Park for a while and the kids had a ton of fun climbing rocks together. Will and I also got a chance to play catch although not for too long since it was much more humid today. We were back at the hotel by 3:30 for a little R&R prior to the Mets/Giants game. We left for the game around 4:30, making a stop at 2 Bros Pizza on the corner for a few slices. We arrived at Citi Field at 5:45 after a 45ish minute ride on the 7 train from Times Square. We had fun talking with a guy from Santa Cruz on the way to the ballpark. When we hot to the stadium, they had a pre-game area with drinks and cornhole which the kids had fun playing. Christy and I met a couple, Michael and Mary, from St. Louis. They were visiting their 20th different stadium for Michael's 40th birthday. About 45 min before first pitch, we went into the park, got our baseball passport stamped, and made our way to the kids' field beyond center field where Will was instantly in his element. We finally drug Will away after the first inning and made our way to some seats on the 3rd base line. Our actual seats were in left field (section 337) but since the park wasn't close to full, we had some flexibility in where we sat. The Mets fans near us were good sports. They were loud and we (including other Giants fans around us) were loud to. I ended up buying a beer for the group of guys below us since they were such good sports. The game itself was fast! The Giants won 5-1 in a little over 2 hours. We were back to the hotel at 10pm. Before we went back up to our room we got to say goodbye and thank you to our favorite hotel employee, Ariel. She was so good to us!
