Downtown Nashville and a Night Out

Breakfast in the hotel before heading downtown Nashville. Shawn & Christy did some shopping on Broadway (the "main street" of Nashville) and the kids and I tagged along. Nashville has done a good job preserving the older buildings on Broadway. The view from Broadway is unique in that you can see the modern high rises behind the old, much shorter brick buildings. After getting some ice cream, popping into a few bars for a margarita and a beer, and getting some BBQ at Jack's, we headed back to the hotel. Shawn was gracious enough to give Christy and I a night off from parenting. We left Shawn and the kids at the hotel pool and headed for Stephanie's house. Steph drove the 3 of us back downtown to Broadway. The 3 of us had a bite and then went hopping from one bar to the next. Every place had live music and not all country. The town was amazingly active for a Tuesday. We finished the night with a couple hours at The Stage before heading back to Steph's house and calling it a day around 1am.
